Nepal Odyssey – 7 Nights / 8 Days

This 7-night, 8-day Nepal Odyssey is a soul-stirring journey that seamlessly blends spiritual pilgrimage with the breathtaking grandeur of the Himalayas. Beginning from the gateway city of Gorakhpur, the adventure crosses into Nepal and leads to the sacred plains of Lumbini, the revered birthplace of Lord Buddha. The route then ascends through picturesque valleys to the enchanting lakeside city of Pokhara, where the majestic Annapurna range forms a stunning backdrop.

The spiritual highlight of the expedition is the sacred Muktinath Temple, nestled high in the Himalayas of the Mustang region. Here, pilgrims seek blessings and purification beneath the temple's 108 holy water spouts, surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes. Descending back to Pokhara, the journey continues through Nepal's lush mid-hills, with an opportunity to visit the revered Manakamana Temple via its scenic cable car, before arriving in the vibrant capital city of Kathmandu. Ancient temples, the divine aura of Pashupatinath, and the peaceful ambience of Boudhanath Stupa offer an unforgettable cultural and spiritual experience.

The journey then continues eastward to the holy city of Janakpur, the legendary birthplace of Goddess Sita. Travelers explore the magnificent Janaki Mandir, the sacred Ram Sita Vivah Mandap, and other revered sites that celebrate the timeless story of the Ramayana. After an enriching evening immersed in Janakpur's spiritual heritage, the tour concludes with a comfortable drive back across the border to Gorakhpur, bringing home unforgettable memories of Nepal's sacred temples, vibrant culture, serene lakes, and majestic Himalayan landscapes.

Itinerary
Day 1

Day 1: Gorakhpur Pickup & Scenic Drive to Pokhara - Via Lumbini Sightseeing

Your journey begins with a warm pickup from Gorakhpur, followed by a comfortable drive toward Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most beautiful destinations. The drive takes approximately 9–10 hours, passing through the Indo-Nepal border at Sunauli where immigration formalities will be completed smoothly.

After entering Nepal, the landscape gradually transforms into scenic countryside filled with lush greenery, rivers, and traditional villages. As you continue along the picturesque highway, you will witness charming rural life, terraced farmlands, and glimpses of Himalayan foothills.
The journey offers several short refreshment stops at tourist-friendly restaurants. As you approach Pokhara, the air becomes fresher and the surroundings more serene, with glimpses of the majestic Annapurna Range on clear days.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after the long drive. In the evening, you may explore the vibrant Lakeside area near Phewa Lake, known for its cafés, restaurants, and peaceful ambiance.

Day 2

Day 2: Pokhara Sightseeing – City of Lakes & Mountains

After breakfast, begin your full-day sightseeing tour of Pokhara, a city blessed with natural beauty and Himalayan views.

Start with a visit to Davis Falls, a fascinating waterfall that disappears into an underground tunnel. Just nearby, explore the sacred Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, home to a revered Shiva shrine.

Continue to Bindhyabasini Temple, one of the oldest temples dedicated to Goddess Durga, offering peaceful surroundings and occasional Himalayan views.

Next, visit the beautiful Phewa Lake, where you can relax by the lakeside or enjoy an optional boat ride to the Tal Barahi Temple, located on a small island.

Also explore the International Mountain Museum, which provides fascinating insights into Himalayan expeditions and mountaineering history. In the evening, enjoy leisure time at Lakeside.

Day 3

Day 3: Scenic Drive to Muktinath – Journey into the Himalayas

After an early breakfast, begin your adventurous drive toward Muktinath Temple, located in the Mustang region at an altitude of around 3,800 meters.

The drive takes approximately 10–12 hours and is one of the most scenic journeys in Nepal. Travel through the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge, passing through charming towns like Jomsom and Marpha.

You will witness a striking contrast in landscapes—from lush green hills to the dry, rugged terrain of Mustang. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Range.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and rest.

Day 4

Day 4: Muktinath Darshan & Return Drive to Pokhara

Early in the morning, visit the sacred Muktinath Temple, one of the most important pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhists.

The temple is famous for its 108 holy water spouts (Muktidhara), where devotees take a ritual bath for spiritual purification. You will also see the eternal flame that burns naturally alongside water, symbolizing divine harmony.

After darshan, return to your hotel for breakfast and begin your return journey to Pokhara. The drive offers equally stunning views as you descend through the Kali Gandaki Valley.

By evening, reach Pokhara and relax at your hotel.

Please note : Vehicle will leave after Muktinath Darshan


 

Please Note: Guests opting for the Ghandruk Add-On will be transferred from Muktinath towards Ghandruk by our designated vehicle. Upon reaching the designated drop-off point near Ghandruk, travelers will need to arrange a local shared jeep at their own expense (if required) and complete an approximate 45-minute trek to reach Ghandruk Village.

After enjoying your stay in Ghandruk, you will trek back to the same pickup point the following day. Our vehicle will be waiting there to receive you and transfer you back to Pokhara, where you will rejoin the main tour group and continue with the scheduled itinerary.

Kindly note that the trek is self-guided, and participants should ensure they are physically comfortable with the walking requirements involved.

Day 5

Day 5: Drive to Kathmandu – Scenic Himalayan Highway Journey

After breakfast, begin your drive to Kathmandu, which takes around 7–8 hours.

Travel along the scenic Prithvi Highway, following the beautiful Trishuli River. The journey offers picturesque views of rivers, hills, and traditional villages.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check in to your hotel. In the evening, you may explore the lively Thamel area.

Day 6

Day 6: Kathmandu Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore the cultural treasures of Kathmandu.

Visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, followed by the peaceful Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world.

Later, begin your drive toward Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The journey takes around 8–9 hours through scenic landscapes.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.

Day 7

Day 7: Drive to Janakpur – Leisure & Overnight Stay

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin a comfortable drive from Kathmandu to the sacred city of Janakpur, the birthplace of Goddess Sita and one of Nepal's most important pilgrimage destinations.

The journey passes through picturesque hills, rivers, and the fertile plains of southern Nepal before reaching Janakpur. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure. You may relax after the long drive or take a short evening stroll around the vibrant local markets near Janaki Temple.

Travel: Kathmandu to Janakpur – Approx. 225 km | 7–8 Hours

Day 8

Day 8: Janakpur Sightseeing – Drive to Gorakhpur & Drop

After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin a sightseeing tour of the holy city of Janakpur, the revered birthplace of Goddess Sita and one of the most important pilgrimage destinations for Hindus.

Visit the magnificent Janaki Mandir, an exquisite marble palace dedicated to Goddess Sita, followed by the sacred Vivah Mandap, believed to be the site where the divine wedding of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita took place. Continue to Ram Mandir, and if time permits, visit the peaceful Dhanush Sagar and Ganga Sagar ponds, both of which hold great religious significance.

After completing the sightseeing tour, begin your drive towards the Janakpur–India border and continue onwards to Gorakhpur. Upon arrival, guests will be dropped at Gorakhpur Railway Station or Airport, marking the end of a memorable spiritual journey through Nepal.
